MAISON TABET

Maison Tabet is a historic private residence built in the late nineteenth century by Joseph Tabet. Remaining in the same family for five generations, the estate is an important example of Beirut’s domestic architecture. Over the years, it hosted writers, artists, diplomats, and intellectuals, becoming an important gathering place in the city. The mansion opens to the public for the first time for The Shape of Wonder, an exhibition curated by Nathalie Khoury.
