As part of "What Remains of Summer," this photography exhibition documents the people, traditions, and craftsmanship behind Lebanon's mouneh culture. Over the months leading up to We Design Beirut 03, Dia Mrad will travel across Lebanon, capturing artisans, farmers, and communities whose knowledge and practices continue to preserve this rich culinary heritage.

DIA MRAD
Exhibiting Photographer
BIOGRAPHY Dia Mrad is a Beirut-based artist whose practice spans photography, installation, and object-making. His work examines the systems, objects, and material conditions that shape everyday environments. Trained in architecture, he began by documenting buildings and urban sites in Lebanon undergoing erasure and transformation. This developed into a broader investigation of infrastructure, public space, and the ways material systems organize daily life. Photography remains central to his practice, both as an autonomous medium and as a method through which spatial and object-based works emerge.
